The specialized source Windows Latest has reported issues with the KB5031455 update for the Windows 11 operating system.

Some users have encountered problems during the installation process of the cumulative update released on October 26, with errors such as 0x800f081f, 0x8007007e, 0x8000ffff, 0x800f0984, and 0x80073701.

“I’m having installation issues. The process has failed at 97% multiple times, giving me an error, and the installation gets canceled,” wrote one of the Windows Latest users.

Another user reported issues with games after installing this update.

“The October preview build broke some of my games. Some of them, including Fortnite and Horizon Zero Dawn, I got from Epic. After the update, they crash and refuse to launch,” he complained.

At this point, the scale of the problem remains unknown. We must wait for an official statement from Microsoft to get more information.
